Ever since RSS has entered into the main stream, I have tried several different applications to house my elite feeds of knowledge. As of now, I use Thunderbird because I spend most of my time there while at work (not that I browse around the ‘net all day…while working…at work). The problem this brings on is taking my feeds with me on another machine.
Bring in web-based RSS readers. I’ve used a couple of these in the past and even some that I can host myself (Gregarius), but the one that I really am following is FeedLounge. This thing looks sweet: tabbed interface, tagging, “outlook” style view, category management, etc. The application is in alpha testing right now and I’ve applied to try the beta, so if chosen, I’ll post a review here.
