Well, I’m quickly finding out how much different WordPress 2.0b1 is on the backend. Getting a theme that works in 1.5.x, to work with 2.0b1 is becoming more of a chore than I thought. Some tags do that used to work in 1.5.x do not work now, and the codex isn’t up to [...]

New Theme
I’m currently ripping apart a new theme that I found. So, if you’re visiting and notice strange things…well, now you know why you see strange things.
Oh, I think I found a bug in WP 2.0b1. Seems wp_list_cats doesn’t like the “hierarchical=0″ attribute anymore.

New domain, new site, new WordPress
Wow. Lot’s of moving around lately. It’s taken a few hours to get my DB moved over (thanks MySQL overhead) and upgraded to use the new version of WordPress.
Yes, this site is now running WordPress 2.0 (beta). Hands-down the best blogging tool anywhere on earth. I’ve got to workout a few [...]

Freakin’ Tom
Thanks to Giliani for the link to the Tom Cruise nut-job site of Scientolocrap. I hope many of you watched the South Park episode (listed on the respective site) the other night about Scientolobullshit. It was by far, one of the most informative cartoons ever (and damn funny as always).

FastMail
Earlier I told you about FuseMail. Well, after really using the hell out of them for a good few days, I can honestly say…they suck balls. Their interface is slow and clunky, and their IMAP servers (where are they hosted?!) are gawd-awful.
In my never ending search for a good email solution, I came [...]

WP 1.6 update…
Over at my test 1.6 site (which I mainly use for backend testing), there was a cache issue that caused an infinite loop until the stack just shit itself. In turn, this caused a 500 Internal Server Error…which is my most hated error because it’s so vague.
Anyways, kudo’s go out to the WP development [...]

FuseMail
For those of you who have several different email addresses and have wanted to consolidate to a single piece of software (web-based that is), I offer FuseMail. I just opened an account and it’s amazing. They offer IMAP connections, have integrated calendar (ical) and tasks, and even RSS support. There is a [...]

Akismet
This has got to be the end-all approach to comment spam for WordPress. I installed this little, simple plug-in about a week ago and it has caught more spam than any other plug-ins I used to run. On top of that, it uses hardly any resources at all. Awesome.

WordPress 1.6-Alpha
I finally have a good use for that TextDrive site I had sitting around. I placed an old domain over there, fired up the ‘ol SVN, and there you go.
I have too many sites…
