Well, I’m not sure how much I like this idea but it does have potential. From a tech standpoint, it’s pretty kickass. Comcast has now backed Cablevision’s plan to remove all DVR’s from homes, instead opting to have cable subscribers use a “software” service that stores your shows in central datacenter on your providers servers.
As long as it’s fast and I can watch the shows I want to watch, I’m down. Wonder if they’ll keep us from fast forwarding through commercials now? Link to article.
