How the PS3 Games Are Looking…

There are several articles out there from the press about he PS3 and the numerous pre-launch events taking place. One of the big topics on everyone’s mind is HOW the games will look, and more importantly, how do they compare to the X360. I’ve read through a few articles and this sentence sums up what I’ve been reading:

By and large, the games I saw looked BETTER than Xbox 360 games.

M$ released their “updated” browser today, officially. Here’s a “bottom line” review from ZDNet:

The bottom line: IE 7 was Microsoft’s one chance to
leapfrog ahead of the competition, but the company has only barely
caught sight of the current front-runners. For more features and
greater security, switch to Mozilla Firefox.

Startup sound in Vista

Scobleizer has an article on the startup sound in Vista and how the user will not be able to turn it off. Yes…it’ll be a mandatory sound that you have no control over. I’m thinking someone, somewhere will hack this quickly and put out a patch. It’s an interesting read, as the M$ team is really putting a lot into the opening sound to begin with.

Evolution

If you haven’t seen or used Evolution yet (on your linux desktop), you need to. It’s basically a free Outlook. Anyway, a developer has ported this software over to Windows. I’ll be installing this next week to see how it works and compares to Tunderbird.

Huge Gamer’s Cafe

Holy crap! This has got to be the badass of all gaming cafe’s in the world. Howie’s Game Shack is located in Southern California and contains over 200 computers and 45 Xbox 360 stations, all with big-screen TVs attached. The guy who wrote this article said he waited 30 mins. for a computer station to open up at $4 an hour. Read the article and/or go directly to the pictures.
