Joel Meyerowitz was the only person allowed unlimited access to the WTC site after 9/11. He’s an award winning photographer who took several stunning photos of the aftermath of 9/11 and has just released a book displaying much of this work. Here’s the link.

I’ve had some people ask me over the past month how to start a “photo”-blog. I’ve told them to hack the hell out of CMS packages like WordPress and TextPattern…or you could try PixelPost, who just released version 1.5. This software is written totally around the photoblog concept. Give it a try.
Thanks to Pickens for this one, as these “Black Metal” pictures literally had me laughing out loud. What your about to see is the “Top 10″ worst Black Metal pics of all time. My personal favorite (should have been #1 IMHO) is the #3 pic of the band Immortal, with the quote:

This is pretty neat tool. I’m sure Webshots disagrees but nonetheless, try it out while you can. Find any photo over at Webshots (including the premium account photos), copy -> paste the link into the URL box at this site, and it’ll give you the download to the full image file. Great stuff.
