Great service for your cell phone. Flurry checks your email (from any ISP) and even sends RSS feeds right to your cell (that way the 17 people subscribed to my feed, can read my blog anytime/anywhere)    .  All free…minus whatever data plan you have with your service provider. It’s very fast in checking mail…even starting up…for a Java app. Worth the look.

Do they improve your life or make you too connected to the office? My opinion: neither. Just shut the damn thing off when you want, and while you’re working, turn it on…it’s a great and efficient device.

You can set your phone to vibrate, ring, and even ring/vibrate.  Now, Motorola wants to send a mild “shock” to your body to alert you of incoming calls.  Not kidding here…they received a patent for it not to long ago.  Link.

You never know if these are real or not, but Engadget seems to think they are.  Pictures produced by the same guy who first showed off the Motorola Q, now shows the upcoming RAZR 2 “Canary”, which runs Windows Mobile software.  The phone looks smaller (width), yet longer overall.

For those of you who have several different email addresses and have wanted to consolidate to a single piece of software (web-based that is), I offer FuseMail. I just opened an account and it’s amazing. They offer IMAP connections, have integrated calendar (ical) and tasks, and even RSS support. There is a free service but if you really use it (as I have the past week), you won’t mind paying for it. All my email is in one place and I can even access it over my cell phone or PDA.

I realize that Yahoo offers a “fetch” POP3 service, that will grab your other emails from other places. Over the past month, I’ve had several problems with Yahoo email and their support is gawd-awful to non-existent. But like Yahoo, FuseMail has a little program that will sit in your taskbar and notify you of new mail.

You can pull up any search result at Yahoo and send it straight to a cell phone. Very impressive…and I’m becoming more impressed with Yahoo the more they keep developing cool stuff (like their new email system).
